Applies nursing process and theories, as well as principles of psycho-social and physical sciences, in assessing, planning, diagnosing, implementing, evaluating, and modifying patient care. Strives for quality outcomes and innovative practice in accordance with the California Nursing Practice Act and the Hospital/departmental policies. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self (or others who are under her/his direction) and for the delivery of care consistent with the ANA Code of Ethics and the ANA Bill of Rights for Nursing. The Clinical Nurse provides care in a collaborative manner with other disciplines to ensure optimal, individualized patient care and outcomes. All aspects of the Clinical Nurse's performance supports service excellence and a healing environment.

Qualifications:

Education:

Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.

Experience:

See department specific experience.

Group 1 - Department Specific Experience:

Behavioral Health-Psych-Outpatient/Inpatient

Inpatient Rehab-LG

Med/Surg/Oncology

Medical Services

Radiation Oncology

Surgical/Pediatric Services

Must have recent one (1) year clinical nursing experience in area of specialty preferred.

Cancer (Infusion) Center

Must have recent one (1) year clinical nursing experience in area of specialty.

Dialysis- Inpt

Must have recent experience with CVVH, plasmapherisis, CAPDCCPD patients.

Infusion Center

Must have recent one (1) year clinical nursing experience in area of specialty.

Must have recent experience in oncology nursing and recent chemotherapy administration.

Palliative Care

Must have recent one (1) year clinical nursing experience in area of specialty.

Pre-Admission Services (PAS)

Strong assessment skills desired.

2 years Pre op/ PACU/ Case coordinator experience

Wound Care Clinic

One (1) year experience in outpatient wound care preferred.

License/Certifications:

Registered Nurse License - California Board of Registered Nursing

Basic Life Support - American Heart Association

Group 2 - Department Specific Experience:

Cardiac Rehabilitation

Experience and/or specialty training in cardiovascular rehabilitation and in critical care.

Knowledge of the pathophysiology and treatment of coronary artery disease.

Endoscopy

Two years of recent experience with moderate sedation, endoscopic procedures or similar experience preferred.

Med Surg/Orthopedic Services-LG

Must have recent one (1) year clinical nursing experience in telemetry specialty.

Recent clinical nursing experience in oncology specialty preferred.

Critical Care Unit

Must have recent one (1) year clinical nursing experience in area of specialty.

Group 3 - Department Specific Experience:

Emergency Department (MV &LG)

Must have recent clinical nursing experience in area of specialty.

PACU (MV &LG)

Recent PACU experience preferred or must have two years of recent critical care/ ED experience

Out Patient Surgery Department - Pre-Op/PACU

May be assigned to multiple procedural areas, for example: Inpatient Surgery Department, Interventional Radiology and Endoscopy. This position will serve all age groups one year of age or greater. Must have the ability to communicate in English and to perform potentially complex speaking, reading, writing, and mathematics. Must be able to organize, prioritize and delegate appropriately.

Ambulatory surgery center experience preferred

Two (2) years of recent acute PACU nursing experience

Experience with moderate sedation preferred

Group 4 - Department Specific Experience:

Level II Nursery-LG

Must have recent clinical nursing experience in area of specialty.

PCR (Mother-Baby/Level III NICU)

Must have one (1) year recent level III NICU and one (1) year of recent mother-baby unit experience.

NICU

Must have recent Level III NICU experience.

Mother/Baby (MV & LG)

Must have recent clinical nursing experience in area of specialty.

Post Partum-LG

Must have recent clinical nursing experience in area of specialty.

Group 5 - Department Specific Experience:

Labor & Delivery-(MV & LG)

Must have recent clinical nursing experience in area of specialty.

PCR (Mother-Baby/L&D)

Must have recent clinical nursing experience in area of specialty.

Group 6 - Department Specific Experience:

Discharge Lounge

The Discharge Lounge Nurse is responsible for enhancing the quality of the patient journey by providing a safe and comfortable space for discharged patients while waiting for their transportation or family members. The Discharge Lounge Nurse supports hospital throughput goals by increasing inpatient bed capacity to prevent admitted patients from boarding in the ED or other non-inpatient units. Discharged patients are those with discharged orders and that have met all their milestones for a safe discharge.

Qualifications:

1. Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing

2. Must have one (1) year medical/surgical experience

3. Ability to communicate in English and to perform potentially complex speaking, reading, writing, and mathematics

4. Ability to organize, prioritize and delegate

This position will serve all age groups one year of age or greater.

Salary Range: $89.40 - $116.78 USD Hourly
