The Regional Sales Leader will drive new business and nurture existing relationships for GEA's pharmaceutical technologies, which include Liquid Processing, Lyophilization, Spray Drying, Continuous Manufacturing, Fluid Bed Processing, Potent Material Containment, and Tablet Presses. This role encompasses building strong relationships with key stakeholders, such as pharmaceutical executives and production teams, using a consultative sales approach. Responsibilities include identifying and qualifying leads, pursuing opportunities, and gathering market intelligence while facilitating communication between GEA North America, our Core Technology Centers in Europe, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage new and existing customers through online and in-person visits.

  • Understand customer needs and present tailored GEA solutions.

  • Develop a solid understanding of GEA's pharmaceutical technologies, including granulation and compression.

  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from inquiry to order placement.

  • Work collaboratively with service and spare parts teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Gather and analyze market intelligence regarding competition and pricing.

  • Attend trade shows and industry events for networking and growth opportunities.

  • Negotiate contracts, payment terms, and sales conditions.

  • Maintain thorough records in SAP C4C CRM.

Requirements:

  • Work Authorization: Authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Travel: 40-60% travel required within the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico; occasional international travel.

  • Valid Passport & Driver's License: Mandatory for travel purposes.

  • Background Checks & Drug Screening: Must comply with company requirements.

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or a related technical field.

  • Experience: A minimum of five years in capital equipment sales or business development, preferably within the pharmaceutical or process industries.

  • Sales Skills: Strong planning, forecasting, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Technical Communication: Proficient in conveying technical information effectively in English, both orally and in writing.

  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with pharmaceutical processing equipment and FDA regulations.

  • Work Style: Self-motivated team player who possesses strong interpersonal skills and can work independently.

  • Detail Orientation: Ability to provide timely and accurate feedback to both internal and external customers.

  • Technical Proficiency: Competent in MS Office and experienced in using CRM software (SAP CRM preferred).

The typical base pay range for this role at the start of employment is between $100,000 - $130,000 per year. GEA Group offers varied base pay ranges for different locations within the U.S. Note that the pay range is not a guarantee of salary; final offers will consider factors like skill set, experience, and location. Additional rewards may be available, such as performance-based bonuses and equity awards.
