Clean Harbors is excited to announce an opening for a Field Services Account Manager to join our dynamic Environmental Sales team. In this influential role, you will be responsible for generating new Field Services business with both existing clients and new customers within your assigned territory. As a skilled professional, you will focus on building and enhancing relationships with our high-value customers, driving market share growth and maximizing revenue opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize Health and Safety by adhering to all safe work practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Identify and pursue net new business opportunities within both existing accounts and new clients.
  • Map out untapped areas in owned accounts to drive growth.
  • Maintain high engagement with customers and prospects to deepen account awareness and increase wallet share of Clean Harbors Field Services.
  • Collaborate consistently with Field Services heavy Customer Account Managers to expand access to Corporate and Key accounts.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue goals.
  • Complete the annual Sales Revenue Budget.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with local branches, providing solutions and urgency in addressing obstacles.
  • Facilitate the collection of invoiced revenue from clients.
  • Track sales activities and opportunities using Clean Harbors tools to strategize cross-selling opportunities.
  • Manage and control sales-related expenses efficiently.
  • Keep a daily overview of sales activities and performance.
  • Negotiate pricing and contract specifics.
  • Handoff established clients to specialized roles, focusing efforts on acquiring new business.
  • Act as the primary point of contact and problem resolver for assigned accounts and prospective clients.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support Clean Harbors' business needs.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and enhance relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve program goals that drive profitable revenue.
  • Sales Strategy Execution: Identify opportunities within Enterprise Accounts to grow share of wallet, penetrate new leads, negotiate contracts, and align resources for sustainable revenue.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in a high-level sales development role or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven success in achieving multi-million-dollar annual sales targets.
  • Experience in developing and implementing effective sales strategies and account development initiatives.
  • Strong history of identifying, creating, and closing business deals.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment in business matters.
  • Experience managing multiple states and clients within the industry, with a thorough understanding of industry factors.
  • Strong ability to influence internal relationships and develop sales support systems.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a proven ability to finalize client contracts.
  • Dynamic interpersonal skills, adept at navigating complex and ambiguous situations.
  • A high-energy, passionate professional with innovative ideas.
  • Strong executive presence and political sophistication combined with sound commercial awareness.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of influencing C-suite executives.
  • Experience in resolving customer issues related to RCRA, DOT, CERCLA, Environmental Remediation, and Industrial High-Pressure Cleaning is preferred.
  • Effectively multitask and prioritize tasks while managing time efficiently.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and the Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel capabilities.
  • Self-motivated and able to operate independently while fostering collaboration among teams.
  • Expert in strategic and conceptual selling.
  • Strong analytical abilities with experience in project planning and management.
  • Comfortable working within a matrixed organizational structure.
  • Ability to travel 30-50% of the time.
