The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston) . McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, Department of Neurology, is seeking full-time, fellowship-trained Headache Neurologists at the Assistant, Associate, and Professor ranks to participate in clinical outpatient care, educational programs, and aid in developing a comprehensive multidisciplinary headache program. Located in the Texas Medical Center in Houston, this position is affiliated with McGovern Medical School, the 6th largest medical school in the nation. Candidates should have a strong interest in headache and facial pain, completed a headache fellowship, and be board certified by the ABPN for adult or child neurology. Eligibility for medical licensure in Texas is required. Responsibilities include up to five days of clinic per week for assessment and management of headache patients. Support for developing a Headache Fellowship program, including protected time, is available. As an academic center, research and teaching are integral, and candidates interested in clinical trials, grants, or teaching opportunities with students, residents, and fellows are encouraged to apply. Academic rank will be based on experience and accomplishments. Qualifications: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school Graduate of an ACGME-accredited neurology residency Completed headache fellowship Board eligible or certified by the ABPN with fellowship training or equivalent experience in Headache Medicine Active board certifications Texas medical license or eligibility Outstanding clinical, interpersonal, communication, administrative, and organizational skills Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care Demonstrated excellence, discovery, service, and a shared interest in the goals of McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston Additional Details
