VP Aviation was founded to provide quality aircraft maintenance services to MROs, Airlines and Repair Stations nationwide. Our maintenance teams consist of AOG, Projects and Hourly employees. This is a contract position with the opportunity to be long term.
Repair, modify, install, and perform routine maintenance of all Avionics systems with accuracy and with minimal assistance.
Accurately interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, system schematics, drawings, engineering orders and other documents from both the customer and company.
Properly utilize Avionics test equipment to perform systems test and keep abreast of new and advanced test equipment and the use of such equipment.
Properly utilized and maintain Avionics hand tools to perform repairs and installations. Accurately document work performed as set forth by company and customer maintenance programs on a daily basis using the standard format. Fabricate per drawings and standard practices wire bundles and assemblies to include marking of wires, properly securing wires into bundles, and termination of wires into a variety of contacts and connectors.
Minimum of 2 years of work experience, or substantiated equivalent experience.
Corporate jet aircraft or commercial aircraft experience preferred.
Military aircraft maintenance experience (Depot/Isochronal/Phase inspections) is a plus.
GROL (General Radiotelephone Operator License) or AET (Aircraft Electronics Technician) Certification is a plus.
Certifications from Avionics, Electric A/C Technical school or equivalent military training is preferred.
Ability to effectively communicate in English aircraft maintenance actions both verbally and in writing.
Must be comfortable with 12-hour shift work, which includes days / nights and weekends.
