Department: Engineering / Maintenance
Reports To: Plant Manager / Director of Operations
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all maintenance activities including mechanical, electrical, and utilities systems.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards (e.g., FDA, USDA, SQF, GMP) and OSHA regulations.
- Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and capital improvement projects.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate timely repairs to minimize production disruptions.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation using CMMS or similar systems.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and plant efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a food manufacturing or similar regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of food processing equipment, utilities (boilers, refrigeration, HVAC), and automation systems.
- Familiarity with CMMS software and maintenance best practices.
