Programmable Medicine a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company located in Redwood City, is seeking an experienced individual to focus on leading our contract manufacturing efforts including Drug Substance and Drug Product. The successful candidate will be required to work on site 3 days per week. We are focused on developing novel nanomedicines, HD therapeutics (HDTs), to treat unmet medical needs in ophthalmology, neurology, inflammatory diseases, and neuro-oncology. Our HD platform builds therapeutics that are selectively taken up only by inflamed tissues, allowing us to treat diseases with unprecedented precision.
Role Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Intercompany Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for managing intercompany transactions and ensuring accurate revenue recognition in compliance with US GAAP, including ASC 606. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure accurate financial reporting. This position requires the ability to work on-site at our Redwood Shores site a minimum of three days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Intercompany and Consolidations Accounting:

  • Reconcile intercompany balances and ensure timely settlement of transactions. - Prepare and post intercompany journal entries.
  • Maintain intercompany agreements and ensure adherence to transfer pricing policies.
  • Collaborate with domestic and international teams to resolve intercompany discrepancies.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes for intercompany transactions. Prepare intercompany eliminations and consolidation.
Revenue Accounting & General Accounting:
The successful candidate will also be provided with an opportunity to take on responsibilities related to revenue accounting and general accounting duties including:
  • Analyze customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606.
  • Prepare revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations, and reports.
  • Collaborate with departmental and FP&A teams to review contract terms and billing arrangements.
  • Support external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records in the ERP and revenue systems.
  • Assist with process improvements and automation of intercompany and revenue workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification or progress toward certification preferred and a minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity company.
  • Experience with intercompany elimination and consolidation processes, transfer pricing and revenue recognition.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, especially ASC 606 and ASC 830.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Sage Intaact, NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle. Proficiency in Excel
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $133,000 annually. We consider various factors when determining the base compensation, including market survey data, experience, qualifications, and geographic location, which means that the actual compensation may vary
