The Role
Presidio is seeking a hands-on technical leader to fill the role of Managing Consultant for the Tri-State region's Network and Security practice. This individual will provide technical oversight for an engineering team, ensuring projects are completed successfully, engineers are well-prepared, and client expectations are met or exceeded. The role involves serving as a focal point for complex implementations, leading design workshops, and supporting pre-sales activities for professional services engagements.
The role requires overseeing a team of engineers, ensuring adherence to best practices, and delivering a superb customer experience.
Travel Requirements
Expected travel up to 25%. The position is based in the Tri-State region.
Responsibilities Include
- Technical Leadership:
- Oversee execution of network and security projects, from design to troubleshooting.
- Guide and ensure quality of network designs aligned with business goals.
- Support troubleshooting efforts for complex issues.
- Client Relationships:
- Lead technical interactions with clients, including escalations.
- Business Management:
- Collaborate with sales, pre-sales, project management, and engineering teams.
- Team Building:
- Foster growth and professional development within the team.
Required Skills and Professional Experience
- Advanced Networking Expertise:
- Experience with complex routing and switching, especially Cisco.
- Knowledge of core networking protocols and security.
- Cloud Networking & SD-WAN:
- Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, and SD-WAN solutions.
- Security Solution Implementation:
- Experience with Palo Alto, Cisco security products.
- Troubleshooting & Communication:
- Strong troubleshooting skills and communication abilities.
- Experience:
- 2+ years in team leadership; 8+ years in network/security engineering.
Preferred Skills & Certifications
- Experience with Fortinet, Arista, Aruba, automation tools, and relevant certifications like CCNP, CCIE, PCNSA, PCCSE, PCNSE.
