We're seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, experienced Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial operations for our client, a real estate construction company based in NYC. This role is ideal for a bookkeeping professional with experience in real estate who takes pride in maintaining accurate records and ensuring seamless financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounts receivable and payable, including vendor invoicing, expense tracking, and credit card reconciliations
- Record and maintain day-to-day ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and proper coding of all financial transactions
- Prepare and reconcile monthly financial statements, journal entries, and account adjustments related to expenses, payroll, and taxes
- Support the monthly accounting close process and assist with cash flow tracking and financial reporting
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records, including supporting documentation for audits and regulatory purposes
- 8+ years of bookkeeping or relevant accounting experience, preferably with a focus on real estate financing
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop) and general accounting software
- Strong understanding of general ledger processes, account analysis, and reconciliations
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills for working with vendors, clients, and internal teams
- Highly preferred to have prior experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role for a Real Estate company
