Full Time Pct (Cna Certified) Opportunity

This opportunity is a full time PCT (CNA Certified) position in the Ortho/Med Surg Department at Wellington Regional Medical Center, located in Wellington, Florida. Wellington Regional is a 235-bed, acute care hospital owned by a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., a highly respected healthcare management organization. Job Requirements

Education: High school graduate or equivalent

Skills: Ability to read, write, and have working knowledge of medical terminology

Certification: Completion of formal training program for Certified Nursing Assistants; state CNA Certification

Additional Requirements: As of 8/1/2013, job requires a C.N.A. license in the state of Florida. Current American Heart Association BLS certification. Good communication skills. Ability to perform EKGs. Computer skills, order entry, and ADT function.

Performs various customer care activities and related services in the patient care area including monitoring and interpreting cardiac telemetry rhythm strips, receptionist and secretarial duties, and patient care tasks. Must be willing to cross train and float to meet the needs of the facility. Recognizes the signs and symptoms of stroke and calling a stroke alert overhead. Verbalizes stroke alert process. Maintains currency in stroke knowledge by completing the annual 1 hour online training.
