Our SDG team in Salt Lake City, UT is eagerly looking for an Assembler II to join their dynamic team. You will join the Manufacturing Assembly and Test team, reporting directly to our Assembly and Test Supervisor and enjoy an on-site, collaborative working environment. As an Assembler II, you will add incredible value to the team by holding responsibility for:
- Setting up, operating, and troubleshooting manufacturing assembly line machinery/equipment
- Operating machinery/equipment to install a piece/part/component of an in-process product, assembly, or sub-assembly
- Moving, packing, and sorting raw materials or finished goods
- Monitoring the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products
- Maintaining accurate daily assembly production records as input to manufacturing performance analysis
- Cross training on multiple production lines
To be considered for this Assembler II role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
- HS Diploma or equivalent required, Technical/Vocational training with high emphasis on mechanical systems desired.
- 3+ years electro/mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment is required; Aerospace experience preferred
- Position requires attention to detail, organized work practices, and good housekeeping skills to maintain a clean work center
- Must be able to read and work from assembly drawings, worksheets, parts lists, BOM, test specifications, and other instructions, both written and verbal.
- Prior experience with circuit cards and strong understanding of ESD
- Must be proficient in basic computer skills, including MS Office
