We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our finance team at our textile manufacturing facilities in Kingstree or Moncks Corner, South Carolina . This role is critical to monitoring and analyzing manufacturing costs, ensuring accurate inventory valuation, and supporting data-driven decision-making within a dynamic, fast-paced environment focused on innovative composites and technical fabrics .

Key Responsibilities
Cost Accounting & Analysis
- Maintain and analyze standard costs for raw materials, labor, and overhead.
- Review and reconcile inventory, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods valuations.
- Analyze manufacturing variances and provide insights into material usage, labor efficiency, and overhead absorption.
- Monitor production order costs and BOM accuracy, identifying cost drivers and recommending corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed cost reports, margin analyses, and profitability tracking for products and production lines.
- Support the annual budgeting process with standard cost updates and forecasts.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and procurement teams to understand cost impacts of process or material changes.
- Conduct cycle counts, physical inventory reviews, and inventory reconciliations.
- Assist with inventory audits and ensure alignment with general ledger and ERP systems.
- Monitor inventory transactions and ensure proper cost allocation.
- Maintain cost accounting module within ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor).
- Support internal controls and compliance with financial policies, procedures, and audits.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve cost tracking processes and data accuracy.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Experience in the textile industry , especially with composite or technical materials.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or similar.
- CPA, CMA, or working toward certification.
- Some travel between sites may be required.
- Frequent collaboration with production, procurement, and finance teams.
