We're seeking an experienced and client-focused Tax Manager to join our growing tax team. In this role, you'll oversee complex tax engagements, guide and mentor team members, and build meaningful relationships with clients across a variety of industries.

What You'll Do
- Review complex tax returns (corporate, individual, and partnership)
- Conduct technical tax research and provide client-specific recommendations
- Lead client engagements and ensure high-quality, timely deliverables
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships grounded in trust and responsiveness
- Coach and mentor junior team members, contributing to their growth and development
- Facilitate internal training sessions and share technical knowledge with the team
- Collaborate with peers and partners to support firm initiatives and client success
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA strongly preferred)
- 5+ years of experience preparing and reviewing complex business and/or personal tax returns
- Experience across a variety of industries preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities and a collaborative mindset
- MBA or MAcc is a plus but not required
- Located near a BMSS Birmingham-area office
