Requirements
The Strategic Sourcing Specialist, Indirect manages a portfolio of indirect categories and projects. Responsibilities include establishing collaborative relationships with senior leaders, developing sourcing strategies, partnering with global and regional offices, establishing long-term agreements, and advising on sourcing projects. Categories include Marketing Services, IT, Telecommunications, Consulting Services, Financial Systems, Human Resources, Travel, Fleet, and others.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitating sourcing initiatives, developing strategies, negotiating with suppliers, and leading business reviews.
- Building relationships with internal teams including Programs, Marketing, Finance, HR, IT, and Legal.
- Ensuring compliance with purchasing procedures and communicating policy changes.
- Reporting on savings, value analysis, and negotiations monthly.
- Implementing annual savings programs and budgeting activities.
- Sourcing and qualifying suppliers, including site visits and evaluation procedures.
- Maintaining detailed supplier information and conducting market analyses.
- Monitoring supplier performance to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
- Managing nonproductive resources and updating SAP/PRISM data.
- Serving as the point of contact for North American purchasing requests, changes, and new product developments.
- Travel may be required up to 25%, and extended hours may be necessary.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
- Minimum 2 years purchasing experience, preferably in indirect categories.
- Experience in CPG industry is a plus.
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of Laboratory Supplies purchasing is a plus.
- Experience in Industrial and Supply Chain Purchasing preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Project management, negotiation, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Data analysis capabilities and ability to present to leadership.
- Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
- Team-oriented with adaptability in changing environments.
