Base pay range

$105,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr

We are a well-established boutique CPA firm located in South Orange County, CA, with over 40 years of dedicated service. We are currently seeking a highly qualified professional with a minimum of five years of recent public accounting experience, particularly with clients involving complex tax matters and entity structures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills in client interactions, as well as effective leadership abilities to mentor and guide staff. A solid foundation in general accounting principles is also required.

We have a congenial work environment that offers a reasonable work/life balance; generally busy season hours do not exceed 50 hours per week. We provide comprehensive services, including tax, accounting, and consulting, tailored to both their business and personal needs.

This position offers near term partnership opportunity for the right candidate. We are a collaborative firm and require full time in the office employment. The candidate should be dedicated to serving our clients and contributing to the continued success and expansion of our practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Use current knowledge of tax laws and guidance to review individual, corporate, partnership, trust, and exempt entity tax returns and workpapers prepared by staff:
• Year-round consultation with clients, to provide tax modeling and projection planning;
• Develop strong working relationships with clients;
• Maintain knowledge of tax regulation changes, guidance, credits, and other tax related items as needed;
• Lead and mentor staff promoting professional development and collaboration

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance, a must;
• Current EA or CPA, or working towards:
• Minimum of 5 years of recent tax oriented, public accounting experience, with continued increase in responsibility;
• Working knowledge of Lacerte Tax Program, CCH Engagement and SurePrep;
• Proficiency in Quickbooks
