Our Client a large financial investment firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to add to their team in Coral Gables, FL. This individual will be part of the finance team and handle the financial affairs of various management companies within. The role works HYBRID 3 days in office and 2 days remote with normal M-F flexible hours, no travel, pays in the $110K - $120K range with 10% bonus potential based on experience and includes an ample benefit plan.

The key to this role is past recent and relevant corporate accounting experience not tax accounting with a strong understanding of the finicial services/private equity industry. The incumbent will:

• Lead the corporate month-end closing activities, including preparing and reviewing reconciliations and journal entries across multiple currencies.
• Conduct in-depth balance sheet and P&L analysis.
• Perform cash flow analysis
• Develop and document robust business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls.
• Serve as the go-to accounting policy expert, ensuring seamless communication and resolution of policy inquiries with business partners.
• Evaluate the impact of new accounting standards and implement necessary changes to policy.
• Contribute to the continuous development of accounting procedures and standards.
• Coordinate and prepare essential audit schedules.
• Support external audits by providing proper documentation and assistance as needed.
• Engage in special projects and handle Ad-Hoc requests with agility.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting
• 3+ years of experience in accounting with a large corporation
• Proven finance experience in a multinational organization with top-tier processes.
• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience with financial statement audits, either as an auditor or client.
• Familiarity with Workday Financials, Oracle/SAP or similar ERP systems
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas and pivot tables)

Preferred but not required

• Masters Degree
• CPA or progress towards certification
• Experience working for a large financial services/private equity firm (> $35B AUM)
