The Pharmacy Technician I will assist registered pharmacists in providing pharmaceutical services to patients within the medical center including but not limited to: delivery of medications, stocking of automated dispensing cabinets, responding to nursing messages, performing inventory management activities, performing unit inspections, and answering phones. Pharmacy technicians are expected to demonstrate efficient time management, organization of work, and prioritization.

Responsibilities
- Receive medications into stock.
- Performs non-sterile compounding and completes required documentation.
- Prepare medication orders for pharmacist verification.
- Deliver and stock medications throughout the hospital.
- Assess medication storage areas, identifying and replacing outdated and unusable medications.
- Collect data, conduct quality monitors and complete documentation.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma
- License(s)/Certification(s): Pharmacy Technician license or eligible licensure in both Illinois and Iowa. Must obtain secondary state licensure within 90 days.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification or Student/Intern designation is required within 12 months of hire.
