Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company
- Record and categorize daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Process employee payroll and ensure timely payments
- Prepare and file tax documents, including sales tax returns and payroll taxes
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
- Monitor and track job costing for construction projects
- Manage accounts payable, including vendor invoices and payments
- Handle accounts receivable, including client invoicing and payment collection
- Maintain organized and accurate financial files and records
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate job costing and billing
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements for internal and external use
- Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures
- Stay current with accounting software updates and industry best practices
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management
- Assist with annual audits and tax preparation
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations
- 1-3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the construction industry
- Proficiency in bookkeeping principles and practices
- Strong knowledge of construction industry financial processes and terminology
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Associate's degree in Accounting or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage 50, or similar)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Familiarity with project management software used in construction
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
