Our client a rapidly growing global organization with a strong presence in multiple sectors, including media, publishing, and education is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Analyst to join their dynamic tax team at their U.S. headquarters.
**** Position requires working in the office in NYC for 2 days each month, with the remaining days working from home. ***
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing support for management in compliance, planning, reporting, audits, and other tax-related matters.
- Assist with state tax inquiries, audits, and M&A-related requests when necessary.
- Prepare, analyze, review, and file federal and state corporate and/or partnership returns, both standalone and consolidated, along with supporting schedules.
- Review and prepare various international forms
- Handle quarterly tax provisions for assigned business units and prepare related reporting packages for management.
- Collect relevant data and maintain accurate tax workpapers and records in support of filings and provisions.
- Process ad-hoc tax filings and ensure the timely remittance of tax payments.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in tax, either in a large industry or public accounting.
- CPA, MBA, JD, or media business experience is a plus but not required
- Experience with U.S. tax laws, multi-state income, and franchise tax.
- Strong knowledge of tax compliance, provisions, and accounting principles.
