As a member of a team with well-founded processes, growth opportunities and award-winning culture, the Senior Accountant is focused on lease accounting in accordance with ASC 842, but duties include other areas as well. The position requires an in-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and works closely with others on the accounting team to produce and analyze company financials while assisting with other strategic projects as required. Responsibilities
- Responsible for lease accounting transactions, including the review of lease contracts, performing lease classification tests, and ensuring financial data is complete and accurate in Companys lease accounting software.
- Responsible for all lease related reconciliations including CAM, insurance, real estate taxes, etc.
- Oversees other expense categories as assigned, including monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Ensures accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Communicates regularly with other departments on accounting related questions.
- Assists with interim and year-end audits.
- Assists in preparation of financial reports and monthly financial statement review.
- Supports the annual budget and forecasting process as needed.

Qualifications
- BS or BA, concentration in Accounting required.
- At least 5 years Accounting experience required - full-cycle, G/L month-end preferred.
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
- Multi-unit or real estate experience a plus.
- Experience with Lucernex and/or Multiview a plus.
- Based in DFW area on a hybrid schedule.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
