About The Company

Our client is a publicly traded business development company investing in middle market companies with over $2 billion in AUM. The Junior Accountant will report to the Controller of the team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the quarterly financial close and help prepare the reporting of the firms 10Q and 10K.
• Assist with reviewing new GAAP and regulatory requirements, including technical accounting research and interpretation.
• Work closely with the investment team for the quarterly investment valuation process for financial reporting.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax firms to ensure timely completion of audits and tax filings.
• Coordinate with external auditors and third-party fund administrators for quarterly filings.
• Perform weekly cash flow analysis and planning.
• Assist with preparing monthly interest invoices and manage their distribution to borrowers.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in accounting.
• 2-3 years of accounting experience.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Ability to work within strict timelines and handle multiple tasks.

Salary Range

$80,000-$90,000
