Job Description:
Our client is a leading publicly held organization seeking a Tax Manager that will oversee a diverse range of tax-related activities, including federal and state income tax compliance, tax provisions, M&A, and managing tax controversy risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage comprehensive US federal and state income tax compliance, including return preparation, reviews, and ASC740 tax accrual reconciliations
Lead tax planning initiatives and resolve tax controversies to minimize exposure and optimize tax positions
and forecast tax payments to ensure compliance and optimize cash flow management
Oversee tax provision preparation under ASC740, including quarterly journal entries and business unit reviews
Integrate acquired companies into consolidated tax structures and analyze state tax nexus exposures
Mentor tax team members while identifying opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in accounting or finance.
Advanced degree in accounting and/or CPA designation preferred.
5+ years of progressive experience in corporate tax or public accounting
Must be local to St. Louis area
