Job Title: Senior Bookkeeper
Location: OS2 Corporation (3026 SW 42nd Street, Ft Lauderdale, FL)
Position can be in-office M-F OR hybrid - working 1-2 days/week from home.

Role Overview:
Purple Unicorn Enterprises , on behalf of OS2 Corporation' s Finance team is seeking a highly experienced and self-sufficient Senior Bookkeeper to manage all aspects of our accounting and financial operations with minimal onboarding or oversight . The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in government contracts, international billing and invoicing , and a deep understanding of military or public-sector financial protocols with the ability to independently manage and report on daily company cash flow.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle full-cycle bookkeeping, including A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries and reconciliations
  • Daily management and reporting of incoming cash flow and debt to income ratio.
  • Manage general ledger and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP
  • Prepare and process both domestic and international invoices , including currency conversion and compliance with international billing standards
  • Effective cross-functional strategist driving all payment amounts and timelines across the organization, emphasizing close partnership with the internal Purchasing team.
  • Coordinate month-end and year-end close procedures
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local reporting requirements
  • Prepare and file sales tax, 1099s, and other regulatory filings
  • Support external audits and financial reviews
  • Generate customized financial reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and project costing as well as external vendors, as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 6+ years of professional bookkeeping and accounting experience
  • Strong experience with international invoicing , including VAT, customs, and foreign currency handling
  • High proficiency in QuickBooks , Excel, and accounting systems
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
  • Proven ability to work independently, solve problems, and hit deadlines with little supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Sublime attention to details. Every. Decimal. Matters!
Preferred:
  • Experience with government and/or military contracts , billing procedures, and compliance
  • Familiarity with project accounting software or ERP platforms
  • CPA or Certified Bookkeeper designation (a plus but not required)
