Core Job Functions

1. Verifies specimen identification with physicians orders, prepares specimens, and handles all specimens safely.
2. Analyzes test results and interprets abnormal or unusual findings.
3. Prepares patient data and refers testing results to pathologists for evaluation and sign-out.
4. Calibrates equipment, manages supplies, and maintains inventory.
5. Recognizes test inconsistencies and takes corrective actions, supporting coworkers in resolving issues.
6. Administers quality-control tests and maintains data records.
7. Supports training of staff on laboratory techniques and operations.
8. Adheres to institutional policies and safeguards assets.

Core Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a relevant field.
• Current Florida Medical Technologist License.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
