JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an Engineering Director that will lead and manage the engineering teams across all Race Winning Brands companies and business units, ensuring alignment with overall product management strategies and corporate objectives. This role will be responsible for elevating engineering talent, creating career development pathways, standardizing engineering systems and processes, and implementing best-in-class reporting to measure productivity, reduce errors, and accelerate time-to-market.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of leadership, process improvement, technical depth, and strategic vision, with proven success in managing multi-brand, multi-location engineering functions within the performance automotive or manufacturing sectors.

LEADERSHIP & TEAM DEVELOPMENT: Manage, mentor, and inspire all engineering managers and engineers across RWB brands to achieve operational excellence. Create structured career development and promotion pathways to retain and grow engineering talent. Lead change management initiatives to elevate engineering culture and performance. Partner with Product Management to ensure engineering priorities align with brand strategies and market opportunities. PROCESS & STANDARDIZATION:

Standardize engineering workflows, documentation, and approval processes across all brands. Develop and enforce Engineering Standards and Design Guidelines to ensure quality, manufacturability, and consistency. Implement a unified engineering project management framework with clear KPIs, deadlines, and accountability. SYSTEMS & REPORTING:

Oversee all engineering software platforms (CAD, PLM, PDM, FEA, CAM, etc.), including licensing, upgrades, and user training. Implement centralized engineering databases to unify data across brands for improved efficiency and accuracy. Develop reporting dashboards to track productivity, on-time delivery, revision errors, and rework costs. Establish error-prevention systems, including automated design checks and revision control. INNOVATION & AUTOMATION

Lead the evaluation and implementation of automation technologies in design, engineering, and prototyping. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce manual work and improve design-to-production efficiency. Partner with manufacturing leadership to integrate engineering automation with production automation. CROSS FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION

Work closely with Product Management, R&D, and Manufacturing to ensure smooth handoff from concept to production. Support Sales, Marketing, and Technical Support with engineering expertise and data. Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure designs meet sourcing, cost, and manufacturability requirements. BUDGET & RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

Develop and manage engineering budgets, resource allocation, and staffing plans. Identify opportunities for cost reduction through design optimization, material changes, and process improvements. What You Will Get:

Requirements

Skills and Competencies:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Manufacturing, or Automotive Engineering or equivalent experience.

Experience:

10+ years of relevant technical and engineering experience, with at least 5 years in engineering leadership roles. Proven success in multi-brand or multi-location engineering management. Strong knowledge of performance automotive products and MFG. processes. Expertise in engineering software platforms (e.g., SolidWorks, NX, AutoCAD, PLM/PDM systems). Demonstrated experience implementing standardized processes and engineering automation. Strong leadership, communication, and change management skills. Financial acumen for budgeting, ROI analysis, and cost reduction initiatives. Computer Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office, CAD, PLM, PDM Communication Skills:

Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Must be able to communicate with both management and non-management associates. Other Skills:

Project management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent mechanical aptitude Functional understanding of Accounting, Finance and HR
