Job Summary:
The Logistics Handler is responsible for daily operation of warehouse activities. Receiving, Shipping, Shipment preparations, Inventory/Counting/Cycle Count accuracy. Computer Transaction Skills, Forklift Operation. Other tasks as assigned. This position reports to the Logistics Supervisor/Manager
Responsibilities: Responsible for daily operation such as: picking, packing, and shipping of products and components from inventory to customers and service personnel in accordance with the terms specified by CSR's, Logistics Supervisor/Manager, Supply Chain Manager Simple construction tasks: build/repair pallets, bracing of crates, etc. Unload, Receipt/ put away of vendor/supplier shipments, customer returns, and other incoming freight Preparation of documents for international shipping in accordance with customs regulations for both ocean and air Enter receipts, shipments and inventory transactions in computer WMS Safety Accountable and responsible for assigned tasks Education and Skills:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Computer Skills (Knowledge of Deltek/Costpoint is a plus) Excellent Communication skills (verbal, written) Valid Drivers License Ability to lift 50 lbs. Preferred skills:
Import and Export experience Warehouse experience with freight shipping experience MRP experience, and the ability to work in a high stress situation within a team Forklift Certified (sit down and electric stand up) Inventory and cycle count accuracy with Attention to Detail in all warehouse functions Ability to take instruction and/or work independently as assigned Excellent Attendance record, work ethic and integrity, reliable transportation Self Motivated Experience:
3-5 years related inventory and warehouse experience Experience with Imports and Exports of goods internationally a plus Hazmat Certifications a plus The successful applicant must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship
