Seattle / WA Duration: 04 months Pay Range: $(78.00 - 86.00)/hr on W2 all-inclusive without benefits

Job Description: • Candidates must have demonstrable hands-on experience with Kubernetes Engine (GKE), including real-world implementations, troubleshooting, and optimization. Experience with Amazon EKS is a plus. • We are seeking an experienced GCP Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). • The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in GCP services, have experience with cloud migrations, and be adept at building scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures tailored to business needs.

Key Responsibilities: • Architectural Design and Planning • Develop cloud architecture solutions leveraging GCP services such as Compute Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, and Kubernetes Engine. • Translate business and technical requirements into scalable and secure cloud designs. • Define architecture blueprints, best practices, and cloud standards for deployment.

Cloud Migration Strategy: • Assess existing systems, workloads, and data to determine cloud migration strategies. • Design migration plans for applications, data, and infrastructure to GCP. • Optimize resource utilization during migration to ensure minimal downtime and cost efficiency.

Implementation and Deployment: • Lead the setup and configuration of GCP environments, including VPCs, IAM policies, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity. • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Deployment Manager, or Ansible. • Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration.

Performance and Cost Optimization: • Monitor and optimize cloud resource usage for performance and cost-efficiency. • Implement solutions for high availability, disaster recovery, and auto-scaling. • Leverage tools like Stackdriver for observability, logging, and monitoring.

Security and Compliance: • Design cloud architectures with a strong focus on security and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). • Implement identity and access management (IAM) best practices. • Ensure data protection, encryption, and secure network configurations.

Stakeholder Collaboration and Leadership: • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and product teams, to align cloud architecture with business goals. • Conduct architectural reviews, present proposals, and lead discussions with stakeholders. • Mentor and guide team members on GCP best practices and emerging technologies.

Qualifications: • Technical Expertise • Extensive hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including but not limited to: • Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and App Engine • BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Dataflow • Pub/Sub and Cloud Functions • Strong understanding of cloud networking (VPC, VPN, Interconnect, DNS). • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager. • Experience in designing and implementing microservices architectures and containerized workloads. • Cloud Architecture and Migration Experience • Proven experience designing cloud-native and hybrid solutions. • Expertise in cloud migration strategies for workloads and data.

Soft Skills: • Strong leadership and communication skills. • Ability to articulate and document architecture decisions and trade-offs. • Collaborative mindset to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills: • GCP certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Data Engineer). • Experience with multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures. • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Jenkins or GitOps. • Knowledge of AI/ML services on GCP (Vertex AI, AutoML). • Security certifications (e.g., CCSP, CISSP) are a plus
