Shift: Monday - Friday with the ability to flex coverage on weekends The primary function of this role will be process ownership and primary point of contact for the waste collection and handling process. This process starts at ordering of all liquids and materials and ends with shipment of all liquid wastes. This includes all shipping and receiving of liquids in the plant as well as ordering all liquids for the ink department. Additional responsibility includes shipping empty drums and hazardous waste. This will require inspecting hazardous waste drums and ensuring that the drums meet the DOT standards. *DOT training is a requirement Key Responsibilities Ordering ink, adhesive, and materials for the ink department which include over pack drums, labels, inks, adhesives, waste drum pallets, reclaimed solvents, drum liners, empties, etc Shipping out hazardous waste and empty drums Arranging and scheduling trucks for shipments including material transfers from off site facilities. Working with operations to ensure compliance for labeling hazardous waste
start to finish Preparing all waste drums for use
initializing hazardous waste drums Waste content verification
ensuring all waste materials are labeled correctly Verification that ALL drums are compliant prior to shipping
including but not limited to RECREA's standards for "drip dry drums", Hydrite's standards for hazardous waste drums, Mauser's standards for shipping empty drums, and all other contractor's standards Organizing the liquid loading dock Cycle counting the ink warehouse for inventory accuracy
INK1, LDR1, ADH1 Correcting COGI errors Following DOT requirements Material handling to and from presses as time allows Organizing return inks into the liquid warehouse Daily audits of the liquids handling process and resolution of non-conformities Conducting tool-box talks or training(s) regarding liquid handling in the plant Signing all shipping manifests and bill of ladings Other duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager Qualifications Basic understanding of adhesive and ink blending is required Attention to detail Forklift experience DOT training or the ability to obtain training within a week
EHSM will assist if needed SAP experience is strongly preferred, but not required Our Expectations
