A well-established organization in downtown Cleveland is seeking a

Benefits Specialist

to support its Human Resources department. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement and is responsible for administering a wide range of employee benefits programs with a focus on compliance, data accuracy, and exceptional service. Key Responsibilities:

Administer employee benefit programs including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. Process benefit enrollments, updates, and terminations within the HRIS system. Ensure timely and accurate premium deductions and notify payroll of changes. Oversee compliance activities related to the Affordable Care Act (ACA), including eligibility tracking, notices, and annual filings. Reconcile benefit-related invoices and process monthly premium payments. Provide guidance to employees on benefit coverage, eligibility, and claims processes. Coordinate the administration of long-term disability (LTD) claims. Conduct benefit orientations for new hires and assist with onboarding for promotions and role transitions. Support the annual benefits open enrollment process, including updates to materials and communications. Prepare documentation for internal and external audits. Perform ongoing audits of benefits data and resolve discrepancies. Maintain accurate records for life insurance premiums and coordinate updates with payroll. Assist with year-end reporting and benefits communications. Complete other related tasks as assigned by leadership. Qualifications:

Bachelors degree required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in employee benefits administration. Proven experience with ACA compliance and reporting. Strong knowledge of employee benefit programs and relevant regulations. Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with UKG (UltiPro) and PlanSource is preferred. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality. Additional Information:
