As a part of the T&I Team, Sibelco's dedicated Research and Development Division, the Manager NPD role will empower you to lead a team of highly skilled professionals, including Scientists, Chemists, Chemical Engineers, and Laboratory Technicians. You will oversee and drive new product and new application development projects across various stages of maturity, focusing on customer needs and our strategic vision of keeping Sibelco competitive in the marketplace. Your Impact in This Role As Manager-NPD, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Manage the day-to-day resources, equipment, and manpower economically to achieve the best practical throughput of testwork and ensure valid, accurate results are produced in line with the Sibelco laboratory handbook. Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy. Align product goals with the overall business objectives. Analyses competitive products and market conditions. Evaluate and prioritize ideas based on feasibility and market potential. Plan and manage the product development lifecycle from conception to launch. Oversee the design and development of new products. Train sales teams and provide them with necessary product information. What You Bring to the Table Master's degree in engineering with Chemistry, or in Materials Science, or related fields. PhD is preferred. A minimum of 5 years in a managerial role. Solid understanding of industrial mineral and chemical industry processes and products, with at least some exposure to PV and semiconductor industry. In depth knowledge of majority of relevant analytical techniques and methodologies such as SEM, XRD, XRF, glass melting, quartz fusion etc. Sound experience in New Product Development and Application Development as well as customer exposure. Strong problem solver who demonstrated leadership and accountability. Drives team performance and engagement. Change enabler and sound communicator across diverse teams.
