Accounting Clerk
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Oakland, California. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial transactions, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and supporting essential accounting operations. This position requires strong organizational skills and a keen eye for accuracy. Responsibilities: Perform account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and on time. Handle billing activities, including generating and reviewing invoices. Enter financial data into accounting systems with precision and attention to detail. Manage invoice processing and resolve discrepancies as needed. Utilize accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to maintain accurate records. Prepare financial reports and summaries using tools like Microsoft Excel. Collaborate with team members to support month-end and year-end closing procedures. Maintain organized documentation of financial transactions for auditing purposes. Assist with additional accounting tasks as required to support the department. Requirements: Proven experience in account reconciliation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Proficiency in billing processes and invoice management. Strong data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail. Familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. Strong organizational and communication skills. Prior experience in a similar accounting role is preferred.
