Senior Network Engineer
TEKsystems is seeking a Network Engineer in Dahlgren, Virginia, that will be responsible for: Maintaining multiple computing environments by identifying network requirements; installing upgrades; monitoring network performance, and managing network configuration consistency. Providing engineering, design, and implementation solutions for multiple network architectures. Responsibilities: Implement local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, & other data networks. Experience with network routers and switch configuration experience. Environment includes Artysen, Cisco, Mellanox and Asante switches. Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and system performance. Perform network modeling and analysis. Define diagrams and designs for business technology initiatives. Enforce policies for standardizing systems. Familiarity with researching communication networks. Must have strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills. Strong attention to detail, good documentation skills, ability to write clear, concise project reports. Ability to function with minimal instruction or supervision, or as a part of larger team reporting to formal project. This position requires an active DoD Clearance (Secret, Top Secret, Top Secret/SCI) or the ability to be obtain an (Interim Secret, Interim Top Secret). Because an active or interim DoD clearance is required, U.S. Citizenship is required.
