Under direct supervision of the PI in the Dept. of Regenerative Medicine and Chief Scientist in the Cell Models Core, the candidate will perform routine analytical experiments including molecular assays, biochemical assays, and reagent preparation. They will also culture and manipulate human pluripotent stem cells. Job Description: Under direct supervision of the PI in the Dept. of Regenerative Medicine and Chief Scientist in the Cell Models Core, the candidate will perform routine analytical experiments including molecular assays, biochemical assays, and reagent preparation. They will also culture and manipulate human pluripotent stem cells. Will require frequent weekend work. Preferred Additional Skills: Experience in the culture and manipulation of human pluripotent stem cells and with laboratory methods, equipment and materials would be beneficial. Job Duties: Perform basic lab maintenance responsibilities including glassware washing, sterilize and clean laboratory supplies. Produce reagents for tissue culture and molecular biology and laboratory organization. Duties also include inventory of reagents and items in the lab. Essential

35% Perform routine analytic experiments including molecular assays, biochemical assays and reagent preparation. Perform tissue culture and differentiate human pluripotent stem cells. 25% Facilitate and maintain computerized data entry and record keeping of experimental protocols, data and research results. The research specialist will also assist in writing protocols. Essential

10% Additional Job Description: Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and two years work experience in a clinical or research setting; a bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or other natural, life or health care science may be substituted for the two years of required experience.
