U.S. Equity Sales Team Member

BMO Capital Markets is a leading, full-service financial services provider. We offer corporate and investment banking, treasury management, as well as research and advisory services to clients around the world. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales person to join our U.S. Equity Sales team, based in San Francisco. In this role, the individual will be responsible for driving equity sales and deepening client relationships across institutional investors on the West Coast, including asset managers, hedge funds, pensions, and family offices. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of U.S. equity markets, current investment themes, and product offerings, while effectively communicating differentiated research, corporate access, and trading ideas to clients. The salesperson will work closely with equity research, trading, and capital markets teams to deliver timely insights and generate client engagement. This individual will be expected to manage existing relationships while also identifying and cultivating new business opportunities across the region. A strong entrepreneurial mindset, outstanding communication skills, and a track record of delivering commercial results are essential. Qualifications: Typically 5+ years of relevant experience in Institutional Equity Sales, ideally on West Coast Thorough knowledge of capital markets, pricing, and sales/trading/hedging strategies. Strong understanding of broader regulatory and financial concepts. Series 7, 63 Advanced deal execution and/or project management skills - ability to manage more than one client / major initiative. Strong financial analysis skills. Strong risk management skills. Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience. Base Salary Range: USD $135,000-250,000 Pay Type: Salaried Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position. BMO Financial Group's total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
