Job Description Summary:
The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Medicine is recruiting an Assistant Professor with expertise in the respiratory field and acute/chronic lung injury.
Job Description:
Job Duties Outlined Conduct respiratory basic/translational research, acute/chronic lung injury, as
Principal/Co-Investigator.
Train and educate students, residents, fellows, and faculty in a research setting.
Obtain extramural/internal grant funding to support laboratory/research team.
Mentoring and evaluating students, fellows, and faculty, as well as participating in weekly lectures and discussion groups.
Representation of the University at national and international conferences, through scholarly contributions, such as lectures and poster presentations, and presentation of research results throughs publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals.

Required Qualifications Education: PhD, MD or equivalent.
Work Experience: 3 years of experience in basic/translational research in respiratory field.
Preferred Qualifications Work Experience: 5 years of experience in basic/translational research in respiratory field.
Extramural grant funding.
Leading a laboratory in basic/translational research.
