CUAS Network & Communication Systems Engineer

Join our team in Huntsville and play a critical role in protecting our nation's airspace by designing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge network and communication systems for Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS). As a CUAS Network & Communication Systems Engineer, you will be at the forefront of innovation, tackling complex challenges in network security, real-time data processing, and RF communication. Your expertise will directly contribute to the effectiveness and security of our CUAS solutions. Location: Huntsville, AL Pay Rate: 125k - 165k a year Key Responsibilities

Network Architecture Design: Design, develop, test, and deploy secure network architectures for CUAS operations. Infrastructure Configuration: Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Communication Systems Development: Develop and implement communication systems, including voice, data, and video transmission. System Integration: Integrate CUAS sensors and communication systems into existing networks. Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor network and communication system performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues using signal analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and other test equipment. RF Interference Analysis: Conduct RF interference analysis and optimize wireless communication systems, including Mobile Ad Hoc Networks, Point-to-point, and Combat Net Radios. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with systems engineers and cybersecurity teams to ensure the integration of secure data transmission. Software and Hardware Integration Support: Support CUAS software and hardware integration efforts. Documentation and Technical Guidance: Document network and communication configurations and provide technical guidance to stakeholders. Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience in network engineering, communication systems, or cybersecurity, with at least 5 years focused on secure communication systems within a defense or highly regulated environment. A minimum of 3 years of direct experience with CUAS or related military defense systems is highly desired. Expert-level proficiency in TCP/IP networking, including subnetting, routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), and network security best practices. Extensive experience configuring and troubleshooting VPNs (e.g., IPsec) and firewalls (e.g., Cisco ASA). Strong understanding of communication theory, modulation techniques (e.g., QPSK, QAM), coding schemes, and multiple access techniques (e.g., TDMA, FDMA). Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience with RF testing and characterization of communication subsystems using signal analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers. Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a related field. Must be a U.S. Citizen and hold a Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance.
