SALARY RANGE:

$43,751.51 - $52,241.59

BARGAINING UNIT:

MEA Administrators Unit Level II

RESPONSIBILITIES : The Data Analyst assists in collecting and reporting data necessary for self-assessment, planning, and academic and administrative decision-making. The position is responsible for assisting the Director of Institutional Effectiveness in the preparation of federal, state, and institutional data reports and requirements on behalf of the college. The Data Analyst measures program effectiveness; prepares data for and contributes to preparation of a variety of reports for internal and external partners; completes data accuracy and data integrity projects; develops and conducts survey research in response to institutional needs; provides training and data support to key college leaders; and responds to all ad hoc requests for information. The position performs other research and planning duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associates Degree in Mathematics/Data Analytics/Statistics/Computer Science or related fields PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in related field Experience in a higher education environment Participation in program assessment, review, and evaluation KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Two years of experience preparing, assessing, and managing data sets and reporting responsibilities, preferably in a higher education setting Proficiency in data analysis tools, e.g. SQL, Python, R Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Competency in Microsoft Report Builder and Power BI Report Builder Familiarity with relational database structures, preferably student information systems (e.g. Anthology, Jenzabar, or Banner) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate findings effectively to non-technical audiences Ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple projects Attention to detail Ability to perform at the highest level of accountability in a complex working environment
