Technician

The Technician will be responsible for diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment and completing necessary preventive maintenance and repairs. The role involves rebuilding various plant and process equipment, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, and other related equipment. Additionally, the Technician will repair, rebuild, and replace hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, understand flow controls, and possess both mechanical and electrical inclinations. - Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in machinery and equipment. - Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on plant and process equipment. - Rebuild pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, and other related equipment. - Repair and replace hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. - Understand flow controls and demonstrate mechanical and electrical inclinations. - Proficiency in electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics. - Experience with preventive maintenance and repair services. - Skilled in using tools like multimeter and voltmeter. - Knowledge of industrial, food, and electronics systems. - Electrical troubleshooting skills, particularly with PLC and Allen Bradley. - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals. - Comfortable standing, walking, and climbing stairs for long periods. - Proficiency in English reading and writing. - High level of welding, electrical, or mechanical skills is a plus. - Flexibility to work various shifts as plant and business needs arise. The environment can be hot or cold depending on the area within the plant. Employees receive a shift differential for working from 6 PM to 6 AM. The facility operates on a rotating schedule with one four-day weekend off per month and a pattern of working seven days followed by two days off. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Las Cruces, New Mexico. The pay range for this position is $26.93 - $30.40/hr.
