Heavy Industrial Electrician - Per Diem Offered
Trillium Construction is looking for a skilled Industrial Controls Electrician to join us in Columbus MS! Working in a steel mill as a Heavy Industrial Controls Electrician, you'll be installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in a variety of industrial environments. From low-voltage control systems to high-voltage power distribution, you'll ensure every component operates safely and at peak performance. What You'll Do: Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools. Read and interpret electrical schematics to understand layouts, configurations, and control systems. Perform preventive maintenance and system upgrades to improve safety and efficiency. Collaborate with on-site contacts to keep projects on schedule. Conduct regular inspections to identify hazards and recommend improvements. Maintain strict adherence to safety standards across all job sites. Schedule is 12hr rotating shift on a 2-2-4 schedule. Pay is $40-$50 DOE plus lodging provided and $50 working day meal per diem. What We're Looking For: 5+ years of proven experience as an Industrial Electrician (or similar role). Expertise in both low voltage and high voltage systems. In-depth knowledge of NEC standards and best practices. Ability to excel in a fast-paced industrial environment with changing demands. Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and safety-first mindset. Experience with: 420 Joystick controls and magnetic drives Building and explaining latching circuits Overhead crane troubleshooting & repair (preferred) VFD troubleshooting & repair PLC experience in brands such as Siemens and Allen-Bradley programming (a plus) Must be able to pass Drug Screening Trillium Construction Services has been recruiting and hiring construction and skilled trades talent for over 30 years.
