Austin Industrial is currently seeking a Safety Technician to join our staff located at La Porte, TX. They must be able to engage in a critical role in ensuring a safe work environment. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct regular safety inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with company safety standards and OSHA regulations. Provide guidance on safety procedures and practices to workers and supervisors. Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies and programs. Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce its proper use. Investigate safety incidents and accidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions. Conduct safety training sessions and toolbox talks to improve safety awareness among employees. Maintain safety records and reports, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements. Respond to safety concerns or emergencies and take appropriate action as needed. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Qualifications: Experience:
2+ years of previous experience in Safety Technician role implementing and overseeing aspects related to an environmental, health and safety program. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Valid Driver's License CSST, OSHA 30 Meet physical demands as listed above Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed by the assigned location Ability to operate power tools and heavy equipment Applicants must be legally able to work for ANY employer in the United States.
