The posted compensation range of $24.00 - $28.09 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law. We are currently seeking dedicated and caring CNA to join our team in our sub-acute rehabilitation unit. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and support to individuals recovering from illness, injury, or surgery. You will work under the supervision of licensed nurses and contribute to a positive and healing environment for our patients. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, and ambulation. Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) as directed. Observe patients for changes in condition and report any concerns to the nursing staff immediately. Assist with a range of motion exercises and other therapeutic activities as directed. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients. Qualifications Six (6) months of recent hospital or long-term care facility experience as a CNA High school education Successful completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant program Nurse Assistant Certification (CT NA) CPR certification (CT CPRBLS) Special Skills Communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing clearly, concisely and accurately. Ability to utilize and learn new computer programs for documentation Establish and maintain effective working relationships Operate IVAC thermometer vital sign check machine blood pressure cuff. Knowledge of medical terminology and basic procedures Ability to educate family members regarding appropriate activities listed below as indicated by ability of resident and willingness of family Ability to perform care functions that may include but not necessarily be limited to: Ambulation Eating assistance ADLs ROM (AROM & PROM) Bowel and Bladder Training Splint/Brace/Prosthesis placement/care This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
