Product Manager for several key dealer and customer facing solutions including our VisionLink API's, 3rd Party API integrations and our Digital Marketplace. In addition, this position will develop and execute the strategy for our application catalog and developer portal. This is very much a working leader role interacting regularly with dealers, customers, product teams and business partners. What You Will Do: Product Manager - VisionLink API's & 3rd Party API Integrations Interact with VisionLink product team to ensure our API portfolio meets the needs of our dealers and customers. As the Product Manager, lead discussions with dealers and customers to help sell the value of utilizing our API portfolio. Develop feature backlog and provide prioritization to engineering teams. Provide business signoff and validation of newly developed capabilities. Interact with business partners to develop backlog for new 3rd party API integrations in support of making VisionLink the premier full fleet solution. Lead interactions with dealers and customers for onboarding, troubleshooting and feedback on existing solutions and capabilities Product Manager - Digital Marketplace (DMP) Define and champion the strategic roadmap for the Cat Digital application catalog and API developer portal, aligning with Caterpillar's digital transformation goals. New Product Introduction (NPI) Leadership Provide NPI leadership for strategic programs within Cat Digital's Fleet & Equipment Management division. What You Will Have: Decision Making and Critical Thinking : Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. Planning : Tactical, Strategic: Extensive knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan. Program Management : Knowledge of the policies and techniques to manage a set of related projects within a program; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control the set of projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve program objectives. Change Control : Knowledge of the processes and procedures by which a change is identified, evaluated, approved, monitored and documented; Ability to manage changes in the production environment and processes effectively. Problem Management : Knowledge of the processes involved in problem control, error control and the production of management information or computer hardware; ability to identify the root cause of problems in a timely and accurate manner and bring them to a successful resolution. Business Analysis : Knowledge of business analysis and the set of tasks, techniques and tools required to identify business needs; ability to recommend solutions that deliver value to stakeholders. Effective Communications : Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. Superb communication, presentation, storytelling, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Considerations for Top Candidates: Digital Product Management, Product Owner or Business Analyst background Business knowledge of APIs and use cases Experience interacting directly with dealers and customers Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to clearly communicate complex technical ideas, regardless of the technical capacity of the audience. Ability to cope with shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience managing products/projects using Product Management and/or Agile software tools such as Aha, Azure DevOps, Confluence Experience and history of progressive product and project leadership responsibility Knowledge and experience with connectivity/telematics and VisionLink Incumbents must have demonstrated excellent analytical skills and the ability to perform complex assignments.
