As a part of the Public Safety Department of the Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority, we are currently seeking a temporary part-time Badging Technician to process Airport-issued badge applications including applicant fingerprinting. Provides regulatory-required information and directions. Issues keys and photo identification for access. Ensures security of badge holder data and unissued access media. Audits issued badges and keys while ensuring continued compliance with the Airport Security Program and Transportation Security Administration mandates. Maintains confidentiality and appropriate custody of sensitive information and records. This is a temporary, part-time position with a duration of up to six-months. Responsibilities

Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant security policies, procedures, and regulations. Application Processing: Receive, verify, and process badge applications, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate. Background Checks: Initiate criminal history record checks (CHRC) and security threat assessments (STA) as required. Credential Issuance: Issue, replace, and deactivate badges, maintaining accurate records of all transactions. Recordkeeping: Maintain detailed records of all badge-related activity, ensuring compliance with regulations and audits. Customer Service: Answer inquiries from applicants and employees regarding the badging process, providing guidance and support. Audits: Conduct regular audits of badge records and access controls to maintain accuracy and compliance. Fees and Payments: Collect fees associated with badge applications and renewals. Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of badge stock and related supplies. System Maintenance: Update and maintain badge management systems and databases. Communication: Communicate effectively with signatory holders, applicants, employees, and regulatory agencies. Perform related work as required. The Ideal Candidate

This candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in an administrative position, who has created files, and audited files of a sensitive, confidential nature. Has performed data entry with a high degree of accuracy, and scanned information into an electronic database. The person must be very detail-oriented and able to work within a small team. Must be able to work 20-24 hours a week between the hours of 8:00am to 4:00pm. Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalency At least 3 years' experience in administrative support including data entry and creating files At least 2 years of experience working with confidential information The hiring range for this position is $20-$25/hour, depending on experience (DOE).
