Position Summary: The Senior Manager, Supply Chain Optimization has leadership responsibilities with network optimization & execution, reporting & business analytics development, and P&IL Center of Excellence development. The manager has leadership responsibilities to develop and deliver an optimized end-to-end distribution network, resulting in the lowest landed cost and working capital efficiency while delivering upon service to all customers & channels, including optimized response time, inventory, and service levels. This role orchestrates network design through cross-functional leadership, including inventory & service strategy, warehousing, and distribution. The manager will be responsible for providing the department's strategic direction and data strategy through the creation of the data architecture, validation controls, automation of business/reporting solutions, and data analysis interpretation. This role supports integrating tools such as Kinaxis Maestro, Planet Together, JDE, and MS Power BI/Fabric. Responsibilities: Supply Chain Planning & Customer Service & Logistics (P&IL) Center of Excellence Development Act as CoE lead/SME: Design/standardize processes (e.g., S&OP, demand forecasting, inventory optimization) with playbooks, audits, and governance for consistent execution. Manage advanced tools: Own lifecycle of Kinaxis Maestro (core planning), Planet Together (scheduling), JD Edwards ERP collaborate with IT for enhancements, integrations, and troubleshooting. Build training/knowledge: Deliver programs on tools/processes/analytics; mentor staff; create repositories/workshops for knowledge-sharing. Drive innovation/automation: Roadmap AI/ML use cases (e.g., demand sensing, predictive modeling); pilot automations; evaluate emerging tech (e.g., Fabric-Kinaxis integrations). Oversee data governance: Ensure clean, accessible data for real-time insights; develop automated reports/dashboards. Distribution Network Optimization & Implementation Lead implementation of distribution sites (e.g., SE & MW) and future network changes to support growth, focusing on supply network (sourcing/supplier flows) and distribution network (warehouse placement, transportation routing). Execute future-state designs step-by-step: Model scenarios using tools like Kinaxis for "what-if" analysis, visualize bottlenecks via Power BI maps/dashboards, and achieve metrics like 15% lead-time cuts or 10% cost savings. Develop/execute cross-functional plans (sourcing, manufacturing, distribution, planning, IT): Own change management, schedules, technical transfers, org design, capital/inventory optimization, and status updates to leadership. Data & Advanced Analytics Development Develop/execute data strategy: Build architecture, validation controls, automation (e.g., Power Automate), and interpretation for P&IL insights. Lead team to advance capabilities (predictive analysis, data structure, report building) via coaching and prioritization. Create innovative reporting: Cross-functional metrics, dashboards in Power BI/Fabric, and analytical tools for data-driven decisionsmanaging stakeholder needs step-by-step (development, implementation, automation). Ensure data integrity: Optimize integrations across platforms (e.g., JD Edwards, Oracle), advise on hierarchies, and enable user-level access. Drive analytics framework: Identify opportunities, root-cause issues, track KPIs, and automate processes for efficiencies (e.g., AI for trend/pattern spotting). Collaborates with business leaders, users, and the IT organization to define, consolidate, and resource data requirements. Creates sustainable processes and controls to ensure the integrity of core data sources and the efficiency of system resources through optimized integrations. Build advancement of the department's skill level in the use of data analytics, integration, and management. Enables accessibility of data at the user level of proficiency. Develop and execute process improvement initiatives to drive P&IL operating efficiencies using technology (Microsoft Power Platform, etc.) Critical Success Factors: Ability to think strategically (3-5 years out) Ability to manage complexity, analyze multi-factor data, develop a detailed project plan, engage and manage internal and external resources to deliver & execute with excellence to meet objectives. Strong financial acumen in an operations environment. Strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills to varied audiences, high emotional intelligence & ability to influence and motivate across all levels. Ability to make difficult decisions in a timely manner while engaging the appropriate stakeholders. Education: Requires a four-year university degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or equivalent professional experience. Master of Business Administration or Master's in Predictive Analytics or Information Sciences preferred. Certification: Certified Analytics Professional, Microsoft or Cloudera preferred, but not required. Lean, Six Sigma, CSCMP, PMP desirable Experience: Requires 10+ years of Supply Chain, Sales, or Finance experience of increasing responsibility with proven management experience Proven experience from a stand-alone global consumer products, manufacturing, distribution, or fast-moving/high-growth company that operates in a multi-site complex operation, preferred. Experience in data engineering and analytics with lead experience implementing strategy. Advanced SQL (Structured Query Language), DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), Python preferred. Expert in at least one data visualization tool such as Power BI or MS Fabric Demonstrated knowledge of relational databases and the ability to extract and transform data from ERP system tables is required. Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, JD Edwards, and Oracle preferred. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Experience with Lean Enterprise principles Experience in automation and integration of large heterogeneous datasets across multiple platforms. Advanced skills in data visualization tools: Power BI or MS Fabric Operates with a clear bias-to-action to respond to business needs. Ability to lead by influence in the absence of authority. Experience with complex, matrixed project management. Excellent communicator and collaborator with stakeholders at all levels of the business Strong business acumen and ability to approach problems scientifically, but can also execute pragmatically. Expert in creating and maintaining foundational best practices in data management. Physical Requirements: General office environment, ability to sit for long periods. Ability to move about an office.
