Transportation Construction Coating Inspector

The Transportation Construction Coating Inspector position is based in Oklahoma City or Tulsa, Oklahoma locations. This position is only open to candidates who reside in Oklahoma. Coating inspectors examine the exterior paint and coating on bridges, pipelines, and large holding tanks. Inspectors perform visual and thickness tests at various stages of the painting process to ensure proper coating. Recognize potential safety hazards associated with bridge coatings inspection. Ensure compliance of equipment placement and job site layout with the project specification. Recognize the importance of containment and emissions control throughout the course of the project. Perform lead paint removal inspections. This position will require 100% traveling from site to site. Other related duties. Qualifications: 2

5+ Years of related experience High School Diploma and GED equivalent AMPP Senior Certified Coatings Inspector (CIP Level 1 to 3) SSPC Lead Abatement (C-3/5), must be obtained prior to start Bridge Coatings Inspector (BCI) Welding Certification is a plus Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record Must be able to work remotely and be proficient with transmitting data electronically using company laptop. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Physical Requirements: This position may require protracted or irregular hours depending on the season. Traverse over rough terrain, and constantly position self to operate miscellaneous testing equipment. Occasionally ascend/descend ladders into trenches or onto roofs when inspecting construction and land development sites. May be subject to exposure to extreme outdoor weather conditions, hazardous materials and chemicals, heavy construction equipment, confined spaces, heights, and air and waterborne pathogens. May handle and move items up to 50 lbs for various needs. This position will require overtime on a regular basis. This position will require extensive travel.
