Warehouse & Distribution Manager
Reporting to the North America Aftermarket Director of Supply Chain & Logistics, the Warehouse & Distribution Manager will lead our North American warehousing and logistics operations. This role is critical in optimizing warehouse processes, managing inventory flow, and enhancing logistics performance while maintaining high standards of service and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in lean warehousing practices, a track record of managing and relocating distribution centers, and proven experience working with Third-Party Logistics (3PL) partners. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to a high-performing warehouse and logistics team, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence. Champion facility expansion and operational optimization initiatives through the application of Lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices. Oversee end-to-end warehouse and distribution operations across North America, including inbound logistics, outbound fulfillment, and inventory control. Develop and manage annual operating budgets for warehouse and logistics functions, ensuring accurate forecasting and cost control. Conduct in-depth cost analysis and implement initiatives to drive operational efficiency and reduce expenses. Implement and sustain Lean warehouse practices to enhance throughput, minimize waste, and improve overall performance. Design and maintain optimized logistics networks to support high on-time delivery rates and reduce cost-to-serve metrics. Develop and execute contingency plans to mitigate risks within the supply chain and logistics operations. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments and external partners to align warehouse operations with business objectives and customer expectations. Lead warehouse transitions and relocations, including facility setup, resource allocation, and third-party logistics (3PL) coordination. Manage inbound and outbound logistics operations, including oversight of 3PL providers and carrier performance. Build and maintain strategic relationships with 3PL partners to ensure scalability, service quality, and cost-effectiveness. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, inventory turnover, shipping cost per unit, and warehouse productivity to drive data-informed decision-making. Support cross-functional initiatives including Sales & Operations Planning (SIOP), procurement alignment, and customer service integration. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). 7+ years of progressive experience in warehouse and distribution management, preferably in the automotive aftermarket or related sectors. Demonstrated expertise in lean warehouse operations and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen). Proven success in managing or relocating warehouse facilities and leading 3PL operations. Experience in managing cross-border distribution within North America (U.S., Canada, Mexico). Familiarity with tariff impacts, customs processes, and duty optimization strategies. Strong leadership skills with experience managing distributed teams. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in WMS, ERP, and logistics optimization tools.
