Hybrid Production And Warehouse Role

This hybrid role is responsible for end-to-end operations across production and warehouse functions that support the manufacturing and distribution of medical devices and supplies. The position combines hands-on production (assembly, testing, packaging, labeling) with shipping/receiving, inventory control (WMS/MRP), order processing (QuickBooks), and documentation aligned to Quality Systems and regulatory standards (FDA/ISO/GMP). Success requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams (Sales/Customer Service/Shipping). Essential Duties & Responsibilities Execute SOPs for materials measurement/handling, equipment operation, and record keeping to manufacture product batches. Assemble, test, package, and label medical devices per Production Schedule and Quality Systems; complete production and quality analyses of components and finished goods. Identify and communicate manufacturing issues; support root-cause insights and corrective actions; keep Management informed on process status. Complete all batch data records accurately per Quality Systems; maintain strict adherence to GMP and quality documentation practices. Unload deliveries; accept and unpack containers; inspect incoming shipments for damage/discrepancies; compare quantities and measures to purchase orders; document variances. Perform incoming inspections to specifications; complete QA Inspection Records; receive items into stock and route nonconforming items for disposition. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment; ensure product accuracy and quality prior to dispatch; generate packing lists, invoices, and UPS labels; enter shipping data in carrier systems. Operate warehouse equipment safely (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, packaging machines) and maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety rules. Maintain clean, organized warehouse and production areas per housekeeping SOPs and 5S-style standards. Track, label, scan, and log all incoming/outgoing devices and supplies; maintain accurate perpetual inventory. Use MRP/WMS tools to issue materials to work orders; complete finished goods to inventory; perform kitting, transfers, returns, and raw-material/WIP/finished-goods transactions; close work orders. Monitor stock levels; coordinate replenishment to sustain designated finished-goods inventory targets and ensure availability/accessibility. Receive customer POs; create sales orders in QuickBooks; print pick lists; stage orders; generate packing lists and invoices. Maintain accurate shipment, receipt, and inventory records using WMS/MRP and/or manual logs as needed; maintain Bill of Lading and shipping documentation. Work closely with warehouse staff, production, carriers, and the Sales team to meet timelines and customer expectations; interface with VP of Sales as needed. Answer customer service calls professionally; provide status updates on orders and shipments. Train and oversee temporary employees on production/warehouse procedures; verify work quality and completion to specification; assist other departments as needed. Follow all safety protocols, GMP, and quality procedures to prevent contamination, mix-ups, and damage; wear PPE as required. Uphold FDA/ISO/GMP expectations for medical devices; support audits and documentation requests as needed. Keep facilities neat and organized; proactively identify hazards and maintain a hazard-free environment. Qualifications Education & Experience : High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework/degree a plus. Prior production and/or warehouse/logistics experience (medical device or healthcare preferred); GMP experience helpful. Technical & Functional Skills : Proficiency with warehouse systems and inventory control (WMS/MRP) and production documentation (BDR, work orders). Basic to above-average computer skills: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); Windows OS; QuickBooks (order entry, invoicing); UPS/carrier shipping software; barcode scanners. Knowledge of Bills of Lading and standard shipping documents. Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain). People & Communication Skills : Outgoing, friendly, and persuasive; professional image; reliable and proactive with strong initiative and resilience. Clear oral/written communication; able to collaborate cross-functionally and build trust with peers, management, vendors, carriers, clients, and the public. Ability to train, coach, and oversee temporary staff to meet specifications and deadlines. Regulatory & Quality : Working knowledge of FDA/ISO medical-device expectations is a plus; commitment to following SOPs, GMP, and Quality Systems documentation. Physical Demands Lift and carry up to 50 lbs on a regular basis (45 lbs for certain production tasks); frequent standing/walking; periodic sitting; repetitive motions. Frequent reaching, bending, squatting; ability to climb ladders/step stools safely. Manual dexterity for handling medical devices, scanners, and packing tools; stamina for a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Work Environment Primarily warehouse and production areas; moderate to loud noise depending on activities. Office tasks as needed (order entry, documentation, customer calls). PPE may be required per task and area rules. Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $23.00 Per Hour
