Maintenance Technician
Revere Plastics is looking to add an additional 3rd shift candidate for the maintenance technician role. They are looking to move a 3rd shift guy to 1st shift but need to find his replacement first. We are looking for an individual with experience in plastic injection molding maintenance to work with the engineering and maintenance departments to repair, develop, evaluate, and improve upon manufacturing methods to join our 2nd maintenance team. The technicians will be tasked with troubleshooting and performing repairs to hydraulic and electric machines, robots, and secondary equipment as needed. Troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently and with minimal direction is essential for this position. Responsibilities include: repairing and maintaining all plant equipment, buildings, and grounds; observing mechanical devices in operation and listening to their sounds to locate causes of trouble; dismantling devices and removing defective parts; adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments; understanding how robot programming works and making needed adjustments; troubleshooting press and robot issues in conjunction with process technicians as needed to assist; maintaining records in compliance with quality procedures and equipment operating logs and properly documenting activities; completing preventive maintenance and updating PM logbooks; following safety standards and procedures according to OSHA and ANSI regulations; completing repairs on hydraulic systems, HVAC, conveyors, and pneumatic circuits; troubleshooting electrical issues, expert in wiring/re-wiring; developing and manufacturing poke-yoke/alarm systems, where applicable; troubleshooting and repairing failed machinery and control systems; troubleshooting and repairing issues with automated equipment, including, but not limited to, sensors, servo controls, power supplies, VFDs, I/O cards, relays, HMIs, load cells, etc.; reading and understanding PLC ladder logic for troubleshooting and making minor program changes; identifying maintenance concerns and issues and working to assist with the resolution of issues; and assisting with new product launches. Must have: 8+ years of plastic injection maintenance experience, troubleshooting of mechanical and hydraulic systems, troubleshooting electrical systems to include sensors, limit switches, sequences machines and 24V - 480V, preventative maintenance experience diagnosing and identifying problems on machinery and then finding solutions to the problem. Nice to have: PLC troubleshooting (Allen Bradley), robotic troubleshooting (homing / EOA tooling) on Fanucs, pneumatics & schematic troubleshooting. Disqualifiers: worked at Sur Flo or Revere Plastics in the past, no plastic injection experience, 3rd shift: 10:30pm - 7am, 5-10 hours of OT each week Monday - Friday (rare Saturday).
