Employment Type: Full Time Department: Family Birth Center Hours/Pay Period: 72 The posted compensation range of $67.57 - $82.06 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law. Responsibilities: Triage walk-ins to determine if a patient is in labor, water is broken, false alarm, etc Support pregnant patients in labor, including induction, epidural assistance (if needed), general pain management and fetal monitoring Assist and circulate in the operating room for cesarean sections, tubal ligation, cerclage and emergency procedures Educate patients on various interventions or procedures - medications (name and purpose), exams, and labor stages Assess newborn and provide care. Communicate with the care management team, including anesthesiologist, physician or midwife, lactation nurse, charge nurse, postpartum unit, the patient, and the family Qualifications: One (1) year of labor and delivery experience as an RN required in an acute care setting. Associate's Degree, Nursing (ADN) Current California RN license Current BLS certification required (American Heart Association) Current ACLS and NRP certifications required within 3 months of hire (American Heart Association) Basic AWHONN fetal monitoring acceptable at hire, but must complete the Intermediate AWHONN course within 6 months of hire AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring course every two years thereafter or obtain NCC Fetal Monitoring Certification and maintain as specified Overview: Dignity Health Methodist Hospital of Sacramento was built in 1973 and is committed to providing daily excellence in health care for residents of Sacramento's southern suburbs, including the Elk Grove, Wilton, and Galt communities.
