The Senior Group Copy Supervisor combines strategic guidance with content development of innovative, insightful, and impactful tactics for communications to healthcare decision makers in support of consulting and agency projects. This role oversees numerous tactical projects, orchestrating and participating in the daily content workload to enhance overall quality and guarantee that all client deliverables meet the highest standards commensurate with each projects requirements. To be successful in this role, the Senior Group Copy Supervisor must have proven ability to collaborate with consultants, account, content, creative, and digital teams to produce and direct strategically sound concepts for all forms of copy deliverables. The Senior Group Copy Supervisor will aid in leading teams of copywriters serving the purpose of processing all content requests within a timely and effective manner and meeting department quality standards. The Senior Group Copy Supervisor should have a near-expert understanding of the healthcare payer spacethe various needs of, and dynamics between, the stakeholders involved and market trends that are impacting the industry required. Duties/Responsibilities
Leads and executes copy development for several brand engagements to appropriately communicate the positioning of a brand (its product and/or service offerings and benefits, etc.) to the various relevant audience targets. Demonstrates a mastery of the healthcare reimbursement landscapethe various needs of, and dynamics between, the stakeholders involved as well as the market trends that are impacting the industry. Presents compelling, strategic, well-crafted communications across multiple platforms including accuracy and value of content as delivered by the content and editorial teams. Interacts with clients to ensure that their needs are understood, and the content strategy is meeting and ideally exceeding their expectations. Acts as a brand steward who understands the market, asks the right questions, and works with clients to solve strategic and copy issues. Collaborates with Industry Experts, Account, Editorial, and Creative/Digital team members as the job requires to develop communications and manage day-to-day activities. Serves as a resource for the account, copy, and design teams in matters of product information, disease state information, and creative problem solving in value communication. Owns/contributes to content development best practices and resourcing logistics, such as: Acts as a lead writer on assigned client/project teams Triages competing requests and finds solutions for capacity and resource issues and manages project specific content resources including in- and outsourcing Develops, communicates, and ensures that writing standards are applied to allow for delivery of high-quality content. Including client styles for proper annotating, referencing, and maintenance of libraries Assists teams in addressing and responding to client requests Coordinates submission preparation and conduct follow-up as necessary Attends MLR and supporting the client with MLR committee (based on clients regulations) Coordinates revisions Presents and sells ideas internally and to clients with confidence and enthusiasm. Willing and able to defend work. Informs others and solicits ideas Performs a leadership role in ensuring managers and staff are communicating and coordinating efforts to provide superior services to internal and external customers Provides general staff management for hiring, staff development, training, and workload management Gives strong, clear direction and supervises direct reports effectively, positively, and in line with our core values Participates in business development activities including RFI/RFP responses and pitches Raises swift awareness to proactively head off issues that put projects at risk for staying on-time and on-budget, and maintains our standards of quality and value. Skills and Abilities: Proven ability to work with other copy and medical writers to create, write, and publish engaging content (printed collateral, clinical content, website copy, email newsletters, online campaigns, etc.) Strong relationship management through positive interactions with client and internal teams Performance-driven individual with a strong sense of urgency, exceptional organizational credibility, and deep understanding of the business Excellent written, verbal communication, and time management skills Rigorous attention to detail and accuracy Strong ability to work independently as well as be an integral part of a team Demonstrated ability in relevant soft skills, including change management, continuous improvement, conflict resolution, and consensus building Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work on a cross-functional team Comfort with medical/pharmaceutical, basic anatomy, or other science terminology preferred Proficient with AMA Manual of Style Analytic and decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritize and communicate key objectives and tactics necessary to achieve organizational goals Must be resourceful and thrive in a fast-paced environment Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint Education and Experience: Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university; graduate or professional degree preferred Eight or more years experience in a promotional, market access, or medical communication agency What You Will Enjoy at Red Nucleus
